Whakatane Bar Criteria
Hirer must have at least 1 years experience crossing bars.
Hirer must be a member of a coastguard.
VHF Experience REQUIRED (Licence preferred)
The Whakatane Coast guard have 5 commercial skippers that are available to take people over the bar and back again for a donation if they need some guidance. Please note that you will need to book in advance with the Coastguard directly.
